The ordering is deliberately uncomfortable, because the two items with the best support cost nothing and the items with the worst support are the ones with a marketing budget. That is not a conspiracy — it is just that walking has no vendor.

It also reflects a real asymmetry in how these things get studied. A walk is easy to randomise and measure; a chair is not, because you cannot blind anyone to which chair they are sitting in and comfort is largely self-reported. Standing all day is its own mistake

Add the healthy-adopter problem: people who buy sit-stand desks tend to be people already inclined to do other things for their health, so any observational comparison between owners and non-owners is measuring the person rather than the furniture. Put those three together and it becomes clear why the honest verdict is 'probably pleasant, unproven, and not the intervention with the evidence' rather than a number.

Making it actually happen

The failure mode is well documented in the least surprising way possible: people buy the desk, use it enthusiastically for a fortnight, settle on one height, and never move it again.
