There's a reason this particular myth has proven so durable, and it's worth naming honestly rather than treating the whole industry as bad faith. Posture is visible in a way movement volume isn't. A manager can glance at a slouched employee and form an instant judgment; nobody can eyeball how many minutes someone stood up today. Advice tends to calcify around whatever is easiest to observe and correct in the moment, regardless of whether it's the variable the evidence actually implicates.
